Bottled 1966. Pale copper colour with a pale green rim; 20% opaque. A slight hint of caramel on the nose and a touch of rosemary. Sweet brown sugar on entry with some odd metallic hints and more rosemary. Nut skins and olives show on the late palate but the finish is the surprise, a huge wave of sloes, birch sap and some kumquat skins. This is old and oxidised but still rather pleasant. 2 hours later the rosemary and oxidised elements had faded leaving a much lighter and more delicate wine. 84/100.

20% opacity, very clear, orange-bronze. Lively acidic nose, tawnied, caramels. Quite syrupy sugary mouthfeel with heat and acidity early on the palate. Very extracted citrus flavours with a superbly long aftertaste.
