A decent bottle, ssos from long while back it seems, cork came out intact and perfectly in one piece
Decanted 3 hours prior to drinking
Lovely brooding ruby red color ~ 40% opaque.
on the pop, there was a slight worrying smell of vegetal notes but blew off after the decant.
a lovely tart red fruit nose with light spirits airing off powdered ginger, cinnamon and some milk chocolate.
Silky smooth mouthfeel as the spirits have integrated nicely with the wine that builds as it lingers on the palate. Spicy notes of crushed white peppercorns, allspice and cherry fruit fills the mouth and lingers with a milk chocolate note.
