Tuesday 2nd January. Wednesday 3rd January. Thursday 4th January. You know the question.
Candidate themes:
• 1868, complete horizontal (I would need to adopt);
• 1878, complete horizontal (this is my preferred theme, but I would need to adopt);
• 1908, complete horizontal (I would need to adopt);
• 1948, complete horizontal (I would need to adopt);
• Bring a bottle of Vintage Port (I wouldn’t need to adopt).

Not possible for me. Left knee being replaced on Monday and probably not much travelling until late January.
My complete horizontal of 1878 will have to wait a little longer

Why are we assuming that we have to choose one of the three evenings? I am assuming that JDAW is suggesting we meet on all three evenings (and perhaps even for lunch on two days as well, why else would he have suggested five different themes?).
Top Ports in 2019: Niepoort VV (1960s bottling) and Quinta do Noval Nacional 2017
Top Ports in 2020 (so far): Croft 1945 and Niepoort VV (1960s bottling)

I'm seeing the new year in on an EVA Air plane at 35000 feet (over Hungary, to be precise - if it's on time..) - so won't be around..
I was vaguely wondering if anyone would fancy an ultra informal get together sometime around Dec 29th - theme: 1917 and friends.. (I'll provide the '17)

I am more than happy to oblige with that request

I had to look up EVA - not a carrier I'm familiar with; for a moment there, I thought you were telling us you had booked a zero gravity experience to see in the new year!
2 definite no, 3/4 highly unlikely for me.

Not my first time with them - they're based in Taiwan but use Bangkok as a hub. Their seats both go to 180 degrees flat and are also long enough for me to stretch right out, which some 180 seats aren't.
Cabin service was very good once we took off - my only gripe was that they didn't seem to have a service agenda for a ground delay..

I notice that most respondents have not expressed a preference between the possible themes.

Ouch! One can’t do 2

rd; one can’t do 4
th. A decision about the conflicting availabilities will happen in a few days.

Added you two.
Upgraded to Green room.
Theme is as you say, though “ideally of 1878”. (Note to self: check to see if any 1878s remain. If any do, definitely bring one.)

I had confirmed my availability for this date but have been omitted from the line up. Can this oversight be corrected please?

Please note apparently there is a new menu as of last week, but it is not yet on the B&F website......
Mac and cheese followed by steak (of some kind) black and blue with a side of green beans
