Quevedo Taste at Home Colheita Vertical - 17th June 2021

Post by Doggett » 18:34 Wed 24 Mar 2021

Another delight from the team at Vintage Wine and Port... Another collaboration with Oscar Quevedo with a vertical of Single Harvest Tawny ports that Oscar will present on YouTube on the date at 7pm.

Please see the description and link below from the VWP site.

Description
We have again teamed up with Oscar Quevedo to bring you a Taste At Home . This time Oscar will guide you through a selection of his Colheita Port. These tawny ports are an expression of a single harvest.

Oscar will introduce his family winery and lead you through a tasting tutorial on his Single Harvest Colheita Ports. These range from 1974 to 2004 so you will be able to learn how the ports evolve with age.

The pack contains six 90ml sample bottles of:
- 1974 Single Harvest
- 1992 Single Harvest
- 1994 Single Harvest
- 1996 Single Harvest
- 2000 Single Harvest
- 2004 Single Harvest

The bottles are 90ml which adds up to a total of 540ml (just over 2/3 of a regular 75cl bottle). This should be enough for 2 to share the experience.

***Please note that these tasting packs are only available for delivery to UK Mainland addresses***

I assume this will still be going ahead, please can I be added to the after party? I shall warm up with the 20yo blending that I was originally unwell for and join you fine folks when I've watched through that YouTube video.

Sadly I will be in the Napa area without access to my computer at that time. Have fun!

Yes please.

Poor excuse Glenn. You can use your phone. I’ve read that even California’s telecom system supports smartphones. Or is the truth that you will be too busy drinking fine mature vintages of Napa reds to make time for us. :-(
Top Ports in 2020: Croft 1945, Niepoort Garrafeira 1940 and Lamelas 4 Geracoes
Top Ports in 2021 (mid August): Niepoort Bioma 2017, Quevedo 1970 White Colheita

This sounds like a truly devastating state of affairs. Hope it's a wine-based fun trip!

Assuming it isn't on fire, of course.

No Napa reds for me... in fact I've been purchasing Port at auction and having it shipped to my brother-in-law so that we'll have something to drink while we are there! That and the auction house no longer ships to Washington... stupid alcohol rules in the US...
