Mon 10 May 2021 - Port to celebrate the end of lockdown

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

On Monday 10th May a small group (limited to six people due to COVID rules at the time) gathered outside and shared some Port.

When time permits, I will create links to the tasting notes already posted.

In the meantime, here is the WotN voting sheet:

Top Ports in 2021: Niepoort Garrafeira 1931; Niepoort VV (1960s bottling) and Cockburn 1969 Single Harvest Tawny

Top Port in 2022 so far: the most stunning bottle of Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port.

The Ports we drank to celebrate being allowed out of Lockdown 3 (or was it Lockdown 4?) were:
Top Ports in 2021: Niepoort Garrafeira 1931; Niepoort VV (1960s bottling) and Cockburn 1969 Single Harvest Tawny

Top Port in 2022 so far: the most stunning bottle of Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port.
