Deep brick red colour, the most youthful appearance of the 1955 red wines at this tasting. Restrained nose with typical Cabernet Sauvignon cedar and juniper, but with great class. The palate is fabulous! Generous fruit and perfect acidity, with tannins showing on the late palate. The big aftertaste is dominated by the fruit. Everything is so well polished and rounded to deliver a fabulous wine! 95/100. Decanted 30 minutes.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
