2015 Quinta do Noval Vinho Tinto Douro DOC

Drunk at dinner at Quinta do Noval on the first night of our two night stay.

Quinta do Noval Douro DOC 2015, a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Côa. Fabulous nose, floral fruit. Poised palate, a touch too much oak but plenty of fruit. The fruit is evolving but still youthful. Bitter cherry finish. Not in a good place, give it another 2-3 years before coming back to it. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
