Beautiful light garnet. Smells like the real thing. Beautiful purity of red fruit on the palate and perfect balance. A great bottle of a great port. Third best Noval I've ever had, after the Noval 1931 and the Nacional 1960. A great bottle of Noval is truly a lovesome thing.

Bottled by Army & Navy. Mature copper-red colour, 30% opaque. Lovely fruit on the nose; dried vine fruit and dried cranberries. This changes to a sweet redcurrant on the palate, gently spiced with a little exotic mace. The sweet red fruit dominates the aftertaste and the good length finish. Lovely, without being remarkable. 88/100. Decanted 10 hours.
