1945 Kobenhagen

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mature burnished copper colour. Limited nose, but what shows is dominated by the fruit. Dry edges on the palate from the fresh and slightly rustic tannins, limited youthful fruit that is not yet at its best although the wine is very nice. Youthful black and red fruit on the aftertaste; barely mature. Served blind, this was guessed to be Sandeman 1970. Danish bottled. 91/100. Drunk 28-Dec-23.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
