1935 Quinta do Junco from Borges. Opened at 7pm. A little oxidised and acidic on the nose, but beside the oxidised tones is a core of butterscotch and lemon. Acidic on the palate, slightly drier in style with the lemon oil showing strongly. Bright and acidic and very full of life. Coffee in the citrus aftertaste; such wonderful persistence on the finish. Improving considerably in the glass.  90/100. Drunk 02-Mar-24. Decanted 3 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
