Rozes, offley, ferreira, martinez, and noval-silval were represented, along with a couple SQs related to them. if that interests you, let me know. I remember having this at the emergency tasting with Julian.

$375 for a case, remember saying that it's got a really nice nose and tasting closer to a dry red. But tad thin ... I think this may be my everyday drinking port.

No, the Niepoort is usually much better. Not the cheapest in the range, but definitely worthwhile.

I'm another vote for the Morgan 91. At $200 a case, I have yet to find better value for money for an everyday drinking port.

If the Morgan 91 wasn't available, I'd probably go for the Croft Quinta da Roeda 1995 at $25 a bottle - pleasant, easy drinking and will reward some patience for a few years yet but is readily available in one of the UK's chain wine retailers.

If not restricted to VP, I would also throw in a vote for the Noval Unfiltered LBVs which are often available for around £10 or less per bottle.

Have 3 cases of RP 85 from the same place. What whack job place that is. I've called them for more, and just get the run from the people that work there. Sean and I wanted to clean them out, but they do not know what they have, care to sell it, and the conditions are less the optimal.

Sandeman 20 year at NH Liquor store for $35,

Dow's Crusted Port (I think 1999) $25

Dow's Quinta Bonfim 1995 $25

1980 Sandeman Vintage which I have bought a several $35

... that would of course depend on the price. Since I am not drinking a whole bottle of VP per night, I would hardly go for a Vintage Port, except half bottles.

I do not want to be too emotional, but isnt the possibility to have different Ports on different evenings the best. I would always prefer variety. Like a mixed case of half Malvedos or half Vargellas. Something like this.

Hi Axel,

I do not like half bottles, because my wife is allways as greedy as I am. I must confess, to have had some. They were like a kind of toys for us. First she said, "Port, it's not my style". Very funny in the meantime. I do have some 1997 Noval VP in half bottles. And I hate them.
