But bear in mind that this post is written by the man who paid £700 for 8 bottles of Vesuvio so that he could get his hands on the box they came in!
Ouch! Please explain.

Buy a Mac. It makes you happy. :)
And the best thing about it is that you don't have to deal with Internet Exploder (or Exploiter, just how you look at it) anymore.

But, back on topic: Nail them to your cellar door. Looks nice, and you'll know exactly how many cases of Vesuvio you own.

While I haven't yet bought a full case of Vesuvio, I now look forward to this even more because of these 'trinkets.' :) Call me a geek - this kinda stuff would make me happy! ;)

I think the rationale for including these things goes as follows:

1) You find out that you love Vesuvio 1994
2) So you buy some cases and end up with these bin labels
3) So then you hang them around, maybe in your office and assorted places.
4) Then while working you notice the bin label, and you start thinking about having some Vesuvio
5) So you go home after work and decant some more 94
6) Then you realize that you only have 28 bottles of the 94 left, and run out and buy some more.

Marketing at it's best.

I have never owned, nor tasted, Vesuvio. Maybe I should.

How bizzare. I was reading this thread yesterday, and nearly gave it a bump myself!

Did your bins come with the brass hooks already installed, or did you add them?

I added. Thin drill bit; add some glue (forgotten which) to the thread of the hook.

Are you able to wipe off the markings and reuse them?

Yes, with water and soap. This has been tested.

Writing over it with a dry erase marker, then erasing the dry erase with a dry cloth, should also work.
