Port and Cheese

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

I know we've had this discussion before, but I can't find the thread so my apologies for the repeat.

I opened a very delicious Warre 1995 LBV earlier this evening and am thoroughly enjoying working my way through it. I also have a slice of very delicious, ripe and mature gorgonzola on the table next to me.

I recommend that these are never, ever consumed at the same time. Each is delicious in its own right, but together they are a disappointment.

But I will finish both tonight!
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
