Bought as L.B.V., but is V.P. (or S.Q.V.P.). Seems to be the wrong bottles in the case, ah well, never mind.

Decanted, with some fine chunks of sediment. Dark and opaque. Fresh nose of cherries, damsons and a huge amount of herbs. Strong herbal flavours in the mouth too, and a chewy tannic streak. Juicy acidity. Finish is dominated by leftover tannin and acidity, but the herbs remain. I'm finding this herbaceousness a bit overpowering.

Calmed down somewhat. The herbal nature has become more balanced, and it has lovely sweet damsons. Much easier drinking now. Well balanced and I think it's rather lovely.
