FG86. Red, 50% opacity. Nose of red cherry. To taste lots of heat early palate. Then sweetness, long, slightly candy. Fine, but not top-notch drinking.

Mid red, mature looking tone that is 80% opaque. Quite closed on the nose, perhaps showing some quince. Modest entry, dry flavours with little immediate fruit; some modest fruit does develop, mostly soft raspberry jelly backed by some light tannins. A redcurrant jelly aftertaste leads to a respectable finish of black jelly babies. 82/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
