FG95. Very very dark red, 100% opaque. Much sweeter, softer and more drinkable than the FG91/F92. Liked.

12,500 cases released. Modest red colour, solid and over 90% opaque. A little musty on the nose, quite closed with some vanilla apparent. Dry green apple attack, soft tannins but big and slighty astringent acidity. The dry blackcurrant fruit arrives late and slowly sweetens when held on the palate. A blackcurrant aftertaste, followed by a soft, dark chocolate finish of good length. Softening nicely, this is drinking well today but will be better in 5-10 years. 88/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
