FG96. Very dark red, 90% opaque. Very sweet. A hint of bitterness mid- to late-palate. ADV: chocolate.

Youthful, but with some of the bruised cherry colour that indicates early maturity. Cherry cola nose, with a twist of sage - sweet, fruity and gently spicy. Concentrated and sweet cherry in the mouth, attractive. Cocoa tannins are very gentle and subdued, fruit is elegant and poised, acidity is muted; very nice balance. Cherry cola aftertaste, before a lovely milk chocolate finish shows through and stays around. Very drinkable port that has many years ahead, but drinking nicely now. 87/100.
