FP98. Very very dark red, 95% opaque, slightly cloudy. Soft strawberry. Then bitterness mid-palate. Red fruit like the FG98, with consistent flavour profile, but a mite thinner and simpler.

Only 1,000 cases of this wine were released. Deep red colour, opaque. Attractive nose of lemon grass and blackcurrant. Acidic impact, mild chocolate and gentle fruit come through; tannins are very soft. Pleasant fruit and structure. A touch of heat on swallowing leads to a deep chocolate finish, with some dried blueberry. Another example of the 1998s drinking very nicely today. 86/100.
