S50, red, 40% opaque. Medium to light; strawberry fruit early palate; dry mid-palate. Later ‟ditto, plus heat on tip of tongue”.

Re: 1950 Sandeman
50% opaque, deep red. Lovely nose, gentle ripe fruit, very attractive. Concentrated fruit impact, fruity and ripe. Develops beautifully on the palate to big volumes - full of orange peel but with a streak of ripe acidity. Slight heat on swallowing, leading to a long and lingering finish. A surprisingly impressive wine from a modest vintage. The bottle was sourced from a Scottish country house cellar. 92/100.
