Is anyone around in London on Thursday next week and interested in joining Derek and I for an informal meal and glass of port?
Venue and time are not yet fixed, so if you are free and want to influence where and when, then just say so here!

Are you now living north of the Thames?RAYC wrote:I need to come down to London at some point over the next couple of weeks....this seems like a good opportunity...

A table for three has been booked at The Steak Exchange at 2 Exchange Square (Davy's new steak restaurant with a very fine list of steaks on the menu) at 7pm. Latecomers are welcome as there is plenty of space to expand the reservation.
The theme is to bring along a bottle of vintage port that you fancy drinking on a Thursday night. No need to wrap in foil (unless you really want to - and, just to be clear, I mean no need to wrap the bottle in foil).

Sorry; I have a rehearsal on Thursday so will have to give this a miss. I presume the opening of a restaurant like this means that the recession has finally passed as far as EC2 is concerned!

About 100 metres north of the Thames at its closest point to me, though still well south of its northernmost point in the next county. With several locks between me and Richmond, however, I stand by my statement that i will be coming "down" to London.AHB wrote:Are you now living north of the Thames?
I do now have an additional email, but my old email remains. Though perhaps the fact that i have been posted in Slough means that i should not take this for granted for much longer...!benread wrote:Has your email address changed as well?!
