The annual Christmas event, this instance on Thursday 15th December 2011, as always in The Bell, Wendens Ambo, Essex CB11 4JY, and as always with the theme The Unknown Shipper and His Peculiar Friends.

A bottle ullaged to mid-shoulder. Medium red colour, 40% opaque. Oxidised nose, slightly smelly. Neutral entry, slightly hollow with soft and gentle flavours of sweet raspberry. Gentle aftertaste of soft coffee and vanilla. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

A little stink on the nose. Sweet entry with some tannin remaining in a very long, dry finish.
