Re: 1977 Berry Bros & Rudd (Quarles Harris)

Shipped by Quarles Harris. Deep red, 90% opaque. Lovely nose, big and full with masses of redcurrant. Modest entry, sweet rose hips and good balance. Mid-palate a little astringent, restrained and youthful. Lovely gentle aftertaste with lots of raspberry jelly. A long jelly finish. Lovely - but very young. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
