Tue 17 April 2012, The Bung Hole, 1966 Horizontal

Post by jdaw1 »

Some of the obvious suspects gathered, with Stephanie T. Galley (friend of wife of jdaw1), in The Bung Hole, to drink some 1966s.

Fantastic evening, with Fonseca 1966 as the wine of the night. An event to repeat.

Deja vue all over again
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

To avoid later confusion, note the posting date: AHB is anticipating rather than reporting.

Which doesn’t mean that he will be wrong.

I confess, it was a poor attempt at humour by someone overexcited at the thought of drinking through a collection of 1966 ports again.

Am already jealous I can't be there for tonight's offline. May have to open a W66 at home to console myself.

Points not places: 3 points = 1st place.

Edit: the conversation seems confused because Chris Doty edited his post after he was corrected.

It has since been discovered that the same small person likes pork pies. Not the pastry, just the meat. Paternal delight ≠ maternal delight.

I remind you once again that Mrs W can sometimes be unreasonable. Good work on the Vitamin P education.
