I should be in town that week but don't yet know on which dates.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

I am unlikely to be in town on 13th, but will be there for all other dates and would of course be an enthusiastic attendee of any event that is planned!

Wonderful! As a follow up to your '66 evening today, would it be a very silly idea to move on to 1970?

Oh alright then. But only if you allow us to have placemats this time

Count me in and no objection to a 1970 theme

Better suggest a date sooner rather than later.
Top Ports in 2019: Niepoort VV (1960s bottling) and Quinta do Noval Nacional 2017
Top Ports in 2020 (so far): Croft 1945 and Niepoort VV (1960s bottling)

Oh alright then, but only if you promise to show up this time.
How about Tuesday 15 May?

Completely without influence from me, someone has asked whether I would be available for a meeting in London on the afternoon of Tuesday 15th May. My attendance looks very likely. I can bring either Cockburn or Warre - please suggest which you would prefer me to bring.

I can bring the other, so perhaps AHB and i could consult on our respective stock levels and decide between us which way round.

I fly directly from Oman and am in a course during shop opening hours, so I would be very grateful if I can adopt a bottle from someone.
(Or I could order a bottle of G70 from BBR if someone else is able to go by their shop to collect it.)

The Dow is one of my favourites of the vintage.

I have decided, all by myself and quite independently, to bring Dow.

I could easily call by BBR to collect something. BBR Basingstoke is probably slightly easier than BBR London if ready in the next 2 weeks.
Or you could order from the Davy wine shop and have it delivered direct to the Bunghole Cellars. It's worth calling Davy's on +44 208 858 9147 to see if they have anything not shown on their list.

Ronnie,
Could I ask a favour - could you change the title of the thread to show the agreed date for us getting together.
And I also realised that I have made an assumption that we will be meeting in the Bunghole Cellars - can you confirm that this works for you?
Thanks.

Done!

The Bunghole is fine with me. Never been there before and it's always fun to try something new.
Alex, I'll try both BBR and Davy's and see what they have available. If Davy's can deliver to TBH it's probably the easiest option, but their website only shows the Warre 70, and that's already taken by you or Rob.

Ronnie - I'm happy to bring the Dalva '70 instead of the Warre, if you want to buy the Warre from Davy's to make life easy for us all. That would not be a problem.

Another arrangement has been made, with thanks to AHB who is willing to take delivery. My contribution will be the Taylor 70.
Could I ask one of the regular visitors of TBH to make the necessary reservations there? Thanks!

I am in Sussex, and can easily locate Dow, Kopke St Luiz (supplies less critical than foretold), and Cockburn. But I would need to be instructed soon.

Received an e-mail from AHB telling me that the Taylor 1970 has arrived and looks fine. That's good news!
