Df75, red to red-brown, 30% opaque. Nose had heat and faint eucalyptus. Good rich mouthfeel, especially early. Fair size. Rather dry, especially late palate, but actually quite good.

Yes, quite good, and a 1975. Very impressed.

Tawny coloured, with an orange / rose rim. Concentrated mandarins on the nose. Sweet impact; light-bodied but grows with patience. Concentrated, but fairly simple - and very smooth. Empty, hollow aftertaste and a long burnt sugar / apple juice finish. 84/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

A measure redder than the 1974, otherwise a similar colour. Good eucalyptus again on the nose. In the mouth, red fruit and red currants. Hit of sugar in the mid-palate. Good porty aftertaste.

Another perfectly respectable 1975.
