Firm red colour, nice centre. Spicy nose, with lots of VA. Sweet impact, with a dry follow up. Very dry and fierce mid-palate that is tainted by the VA. Dry aftertaste, long charcoal finish that ends with sweet and delicate Turkish Delight. Not showing quite right. 86/100. 6 hour decant.

Light is the keyword here. Light coloured, light on the nose (other than showing harsh spirit) and light flavours on the palate. Although we agreed that the bottle was slightly off, I did quite enjoy the flavours: some strawberry, milk chocolate, raisin and almond. Not bad at all, but certainly up to par with a bottle I had earlier.
