D63: brick red, 30% opaque. Lots of spirit on nose. Dry start; good weight. Perhaps excessively dry mid- to late-palate. But good length, and good port. JPS, my bro’-in-law, rightly said ‟raisins”.

From magnum. Mature, brick red and with a light rim; 30% opaque. Feminine and attractive nose, perfumed and full of maraschno cherries but with a twist of sourness. Balanced entry, a little think on impact but bulks up quickly developing to a big and complex palate with plenty of layers. Dry, restrained and full of black licorice. A big aftertaste and a huge red licorice finish of enormous length. 95/100
