D62 LBV, decanted 19:00. Faded brown, 20% opaque. Nose had barley sugar, like a Bg63. Taste heat, light, faint. Light mint, and vanilla.

Bottled 1966. Very pale with a modest orange-brown colour; 5% opaque. Muted nose, very gentle but pleasantly fragrant. Lightweight, light-bodied; elegant and floral with a hint of coffee on the inoffensive palate. Very long but dried out finish full of slightly bitter cedar wood and birch sap. 87/100. Decanted ½ hour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
