The Bung Hole (57 High Holborn, London
WC1V 6DT, tel 020 7831 8365) had been booked for the Warre LBV tasting formerly scheduled for Tuesday 23rd April 2013. Presumably the Dirty Dozen will inherit this reservation.

I have a pass for 23rd April. The specific wines we choose to share are of secondary importance!

Me, too, +1, please.

Do we limit bottles/ guests somewhat or shall we try to get more VIPs from the trade?

Contributing VIPs obviously have an advantage over non-contributing. How many is meant by ‟more”?

Actually two: Dirk and Joao Nicolau de Almeida. If agreed I would invite them on behalf of the group and ask them to bring something.

Done.
Based on Dirty Dozen discussion thread, spot should be reserved for "CG (TBC)" as member of original purchasing team and as he indicated he should be available, at least until he confirms or otherwise.
Also, based on your reply to Axel in thread, suggest the attendance list should also include "Dirk (TBC)" and "Joao Nicolau de Almeida (TBC)".

Am I organising this?
I think the plan we agreed at the Taylor Vertical is that the Dirty Dozen will comprise eight of the twelve bottles purchased by Tom some time ago on behalf of a subset of the team plus four of the bottles that were given to me by a kind benefactor a few weeks ago. Tom is to keep the remaining four bottles from the Dirty Dozen and therefore deduct a fair cost of those four from the cost of the original purchase. The remaining cost will be split equally between the attendees of this tasting, excluding the industry guests who are brining additional Port. The four that I am bringing are free.
Is that what was agreed?

Sounds like a good plan and a very fitting use of the generously donated bottles.
Have we got an external table for the dinner (and if not, should we try to book?)

Excellent. We have a plan.

Probably best if I book the tasting room first and then worry about the food table

Only if someone other than the organiser booked it
I have emailed Helen and explained the problem.

Shall I ask the two industry guests
a) to attend
b) to bring something nice?
I would suggest if we agree to put them in, that we pay for their meals.

Axel - you will be the better judge, but I would be happy if it was decided that we should not ask the industry guests to bring anything on this occasion.
Presumably they will have plenty to worry about with their BFT tastings, and it would be good if this was a nice relaxed evening for them. If we are at all worried about the bottles for the tasting being drawn from two previously untested sources, I am happy to contribute financially and/or with an appropriate bottle to broadening the tasting.

In the first post #s 11 and 12 are industry people. Or did you mean somebody different?

From earlier in thread, I unerstood we are already expecting Dirk and Joao Nicolau de Almeida; both are marked as TBC in the attendee list, as I think we are waiting to hear back frmo you for confirmation; If they have not already been invited then yes please do so. I'm sure they would bring something suitable.
