Me too! Since I still need to hand over a bt of Calem 1960 to DRT I would like to suggest doing this on this Tuesday 8th of October. I will bring a second bt of Calem 1960 in order to verify what DRT bought and also would kindly hope others join in bringing further Calem refreshments.
Recently quite a few Calems became via uncle Tom availble so I would like to suggest dependent on attendees to include 80, 83, 85 and 97. Calem 03 is very good but I have it not availble. I may have a 63 floating around but would first need to locate it again.
IMHO this should qualify for a light Tuesday evening offline

Fantastic. Not sure what Calem I have, but will check around my parts and see what I can find. :D

Been to the Bunghole once. Great place and the perfect place to meet on this evening.

Hope to be there but can't confirm yet.

Unfortunately I don't have any Calem but i will bring something suitable from the 60s or 70s (hopefully preferable to 80s / 90s Calem anyway!)

It's possible I could come to this. I've got a new lecturing job, and I'm teaching that afternoon.. But a late afternoon flight and a morning return are feasible. And I have Cálem from Tom's recent purchase stored with him.. Let's see.

I have booked the Function Room at The Bung Hole (57 High Holborn, London WC1V 6DT, tel +44 20 7831 8365, streetmap.co.uk, maps.google.co.uk, bing.com).

No objection to this being a Cálem tasting with accent, except a need to adopt. Please may I adopt?

And, for placemat making purposes, please could people give details of the port being brought. So far Cá80, Cá83, Cá85 and Cá97.

A check shows the only Calem I have in my cellar is a;

1996 Calem Quinta da Foz VP

I shall bring this bottle!

If someone runs across an older one in the UK/EU that I can adopt I am open to that as well. There appears to be no older VP's than 1994 available in the USA.

That's what happens when he doesn't drink enough port. He forgets. Someone get him some port quick.

fine by me; but thought you wanted one of the bts you missed out only a few minutes to me. Also found some 1977 Calems in the wine room when searching for the 1997 Calem. When the air conditioning unit broke and me buying a stronger bigger unit and rearranging the room in order to accomodate the unit I must have confused things. :?
Only found a 1995 Calem da Foz. Need to do a "deep dive" into the wine room in order to find the 1997 Calem I am sure I have. I am pretty sure where the 1963 Calem is. So so far we have a likely line up if we are enough people of 60, 63, 77, 80, 83, 85, 95, 96 and 97.

not bad for a Tuesday!

First draft of the placemats.

Wolfgang: approximately everybody is adopting from you. Instead, why don’t you own the whole tasting, and tell us approximately everybody the cost of a share. Would that be simpler than an arbitrary assignment of my adopting one vintage and somebody else adopting another?

If there is still space I wouldn't mind attending this offline and if it takes the pressure off of Wolfgang a bit I have a bt of calem 77 I can bring?
