D66, decanted 2pm. Red, 30% opaque. Others were more fond of this. The start was dry and acidic, yet the mid palate closed. Both too old and too young. I await more learned comment with interest.
Deep red, 50% opaque with a slight bricking to the rim. A little closed on the nose, some floral tones and some gentle fruit. Balanced and smooth on the palate with concentrated sweet fruit filling the mouth with an assured presence. Full and flavoursome. Some heat on the aftertaste. Big, acidic and concentrated on the finish. Really lovely with a great tang to the finish and a very long length. Very nice. 91/100. Drunk 02-Oct-13. Decanted 5 hours.
