Suspects, mostly old but one new, gathered in the obvious place to do the obvious thing. We are creatures of habit.

We weren’t obviously better or worse than usual.

A close-run thing between 1970 Graham and 1970 Graham.

What a thoroughly enjoyable evening, the end of which remains slightly blurry for me! Glad I did bring two bottles given that one of them as Julian noted, had a nose of motor oil (or a burnt/hot punctured run-flat tyre as Derek observed).

Great to meet Julian, Derek, Rob and Alex - look forward to another tasting, hopefully very soon.

And note to self - in future tick more of those little boxes on the bottom of the placemat.

Edited: second note to self: don't leave your tasting notes on the table at TBH.

One would hope.

What I find disturbing is that a T85 beat out an F77. Was the F77 a bad bottle, even if not "bad" in the same sense as the G77?

Just remembered I took a pic of the glasses (pre RAYC arrival, so only 4 filled)

It was F77 on a bad hair day. Initially it seemed like good port, though not as good as F77. Then it fell apart.
