Small 1966 Horizontal on 22 of April

Post by Axel P » 14:24 Fri 21 Mar 2014

As I will be in town on 22nd of April and so is Dirk, the idea is to come together with everyone who wishes to join to bring a 1966 Vintage with him. As I am not London based I would ask for a volunteer to reserve a table at the Bunghole.

To coordinate this, I would put down the fellows with the Port they intend to bring. Please do also indicate if you wish to have them blind or not.

Axel

Date: Tuesday 22nd of April.
Time: 19:00.
Place: the Function Room in The Bung Hole (57 High Holborn, London WC1V 6DT, tel +44 20 7831 8365, streetmap.co.uk, maps.google.co.uk).

Participants (and bottles):
  1. AP (Dow);
  2. Alex (Taylor);
  3. Mike (Graham, adopted from THRA);
  4. JDAW (Warre);
  5. Ian Johns (Fonseca);
  6. THRA (Quinta do Noval);
  7. WS1 (Croft);
  8. Daniel (Gould Campbell);
  9. JES (Rebello Valente, adopted from THRA);
  10. RAYC (Quarles Harris);
  11. EDN (Niepoort);
  12. Daniel Niepoort (Constantino);
  13. CMAG (Offley, adopted from THRA, to be confirmed);
  14. CMAG’s +1 = PC (Sandeman).
DRT is not coming, but nonetheless contributing a Sandeman. Team doff of the hat.

Current draft of the placemats.

I have just checked and it appears that my last remaining bottle of F66 has been (erm, how can I put this?) "stolen". Please put me down for Sandeman.

A kindly soul has explained — I was being dim-witted — that the 22nd and the 23rd are different days.

Yes please. Would Warre 1966 be acceptable?

If anyone has 66s to adopt, even second-string 66s, I will be in, I think, but I can't get 66s to this tasting otherwise.

If someone hadn't stolen my F66 I could have helped :(

Warre is the other '66 I know I have on hand, but Julian has already volunteered to bring one of those. Let me see what else I have accessible.

Hi Axel; it would be good to see you and Dirk, but as I am already away from home the next two days I am unlikely to get permission for the 22nd as well. I will see you both on the 24th.
