1960 Graham

Post by jdaw1 »

Wednesday 23rd April 2014, the day before the BFT, the day after A Flight of 1966, and the same day as a vertical of Sandeman arranged by Stevens Garnier (busy week), folks gathered in The Bung Hole for 1960 versus 1963.

20% opacity, red-brown. Strawberry on the nose. No notes on taste. Incorrectly guessed to be D63.

Modest ruby colour, 10% opaque. Attractive but modest nose. Soft, balanced palate; gentle fruit but with an unpleasant plastic note in the palate. Plastic aftertaste, unattractive finish - spoiled in some way. NR.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
