1963 Quinta do Noval

Post by jdaw1 »

Wednesday 23rd April 2014, the day before the BFT, the day after A Flight of 1966, and the same day as a vertical of Sandeman arranged by Stevens Garnier (busy week), folks gathered in The Bung Hole for 1960 versus 1963.

25% opacity, orange brown. Nose a little stewey and musty. In the mouth, nice entry, heat builds to a very nice finish. Sweet and lovely. Incorrectly guessed to be Ni63.

Attractive nose; sweet and concentrated palate, lingering finish. Lovely mature port. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
