2003 Vesuvio

The 2003 VPs are just about to go to bed.
Very bright red colour with a very good structure. The nose is alike the 2005, but not as intensive as the latter: fruity with black currant. In the mouth there is a very intense Cassis and red currant flavour present with dominating tannins. The aftertaste is surprisingly short, what I interpret to be the first sign of the reduction phase. From my earlier notes of this wine the aftertaste was at least of an average endurance.
