1969 Taylor Vargellas

Post by PhilW »

At the request of Glenn E., passing through London on the way to Porto, an evening of port tasting with the theme "Variety is the Spice of Life". With TBH closed for refurbishment, this was held at Davy’s at Woolgate Bar and Brasserie where we were looked after very well.

the colour is between a cherry red and a ruby red, in comparison to the G66 the nose is kind of subdued, there is a little bit of eucalyptus and a tiny bit of pepper, in the mouth there is pepper and eucalyptus, this is really an expressive port that stands out, a very long finish, a really great port that I very much enjoyed, thanks for sharing this one, Phil
