1977 Smith Woodhouse

Post by PhilW »

At the request of Glenn E., passing through London on the way to Porto, an evening of port tasting with the theme "Variety is the Spice of Life". With TBH closed for refurbishment, this was held at Davy’s at Woolgate Bar and Brasserie where we were looked after very well.

very dark, crimson red, in the nose a kind of subdued eucalyptus and something else that I cannot really identify, a little bit of cork taint and pepper in the mouth, in the aftertaste cork and a little bit of pepper, a good finish

50% opacity dark red, a little cloudy. Not much on the nose for me. Nice smooth entry, fruit then a dry tannic finish.
