it will just be grim. A dessert of gammon, egg and lard-fried chips will help you forget how bad your meal was.
Alas, the menu has been degammoned.

And if I am the cause of the broader disaster, I can offer only humble apologies.

Mockery was expected.

It is an experiment. I hope it is really good. But it might not be.

Please update status of this tasting.

For placemats, what bottles are coming, and brought by whom? I have promised Taylor, but might have access to others.

We should do a food order (menu). For me, please, starter = Duck liver pâté; experimental main = Beyond Meat vegan burger.

Re: 1997 @ 25, Thurs 20th January 2022 @ B&F

I’d rather have two tastings each of 14-16 different Ports than one tasting of 28-32 different wines. Agreed. But one tasting of eighteen or nineteen would work. (Four on A4 plus fifteen on A3 ⇒ diameter ≈ 83.9mm ≈ 3.30″.) Albeit in saying so noting the possibility of two tastings separated by a we...

Re: 2011 Horizontal - London, Sunday 23rd April 2051

This tasting was started with the default process for handling people. That process copes well with the then-usual outcome, in which about fourteen would want to attend, a short waitlist holding the others. It has become clear that such a process isn’t robust to a tasting being announced 37¾ years b...

I can reconfirm both my and my sons attendance. Have been itching to taste a few of the 11's this year but must show restraint. I will be celebrating my 80th birthday shortly after this offline -- My father lived to 82 and was enjoying wine until the end, I am pumped! Most all of us have offspring....

Crazy? Possibly, but only in a very good way. Port drinking involved? Check. Possibility to drink something delicious? Check. Opportunity to embarrass myself with wildly inaccurate guessing? Check. Would I like to be involved? Absolutely! (Will PM my address for posting please) Ditto. Yes please. W...

Re: On the hunt for a 93!

I, respectfully, disagree with Chris here. Burgundy prices are entirely insane. Ditto claret. I think that was complete agreement, so no need to be respectful. In the UK well-made wine can cost as little as a minimum-wage hour. No, not connoisseur-fancy, nor rare, but still well-made wine which can...

Quinta das Liceiras 1993 is likely to be somewhere between bad and undrinkable, and has a terrible label. Do you want a ’93, or do you want a drink?

The ranks changed since the image above. As Dow 1896 is in, presumably the change happened in response to that question.
