Can I just check that the 1961 was indeed bottled 10 years before the others. I thought that the 1964 was the first of these to come out in 2014/15 and that the 1961 and 1971 came out at roughly the same time in about 2021 to capture the 50 and 60yr anniversary/birthday markets. It was shown at the b.f.t. And was rich but balanced with lovely acidity on the finish. Would liked to compare it with the 40YO as I would with others.

I’ve just opened a bottle of Sandeman 2007 LBV. While it’s nowhere near the age that Andy and Tom have been discussing, I can confirm that with 17 years of aging, this LBV is effing delicious! My Sainsbury’s has clearance Taylor’s 20YO Tawny at £25 at the moment. They only introduced it in my branch at Christmas, so obviously has not sold well.

Palmers of Bridport (Dorset) has some Martinez 1955 in bottles with no labels that were bottled by them on site from barrel I guess in 1957/8 for £250 a bottle.
