1982, 1987 and 2005 opened and double decanted last night at approx 1900.
Will leave tops off to breathe from now until I leave for B&F (so should be 6-7 hours).

Levels and corks were all good. QA samples on '82 and '87 good. '05 maybe a bit baked.

1947 - base of neck; the third of three obtained from a special C&B sale for very few £. The previous two are on the tasting note index.

1955 - just into neck; BBR bottled; obtained from BBR's paper broking list in December 1996.

Happy to provide both of these.

I'll bring Fonseca "Waterloo Edition" Finest Reserve (which I've never tried, but I suspect will be quite nice) and Fletcher's Fine Ruby (which I have previously tried and am glad of an opportunity to be rid of my last bottle).

Just updated the planner. JDAW's postponed "A Disagreement or Controversy or Misunderstanding" is still listed as Feb 2023. Assume this won't be? After the PC etc tasting tonight, the only other confirmed in-person tastings in 2023 are the Decanting Experiment on 28/2 and Cavadinha on 28/3.

Cork removed pretty much in one piece. Loads of heavy sediment. Double decanted 1100 on morning of tasting.
Label and cork doesn't say anything otherwise, so assumed to have been bottled in Oporto.

Bottle acquired on release in late 2016.
New cork. Loads of heavy sediment. Double decanted 1115 on morning of tasting.

Label says "Symington Family Estates" rather than "Cockburn Smithes & Co" (which is on the original release).
