Apologies but I'm going to have to drop out of this. I've now got to attend a work event that evening.
Sorry

Currently just me and Mr Meehan tomorrow night. Line up is probably a red (of some description) and then T60 and G70.

Emergency? - Tues 30 April
In London on Tuesday evening with no plans.
Anyone fancy meeting somewhere (B&F, 67PM, other) to drink something (Port, red wine, other)?

Re: Taylor Single Harvest Tawny Tasting - 16 May 2024
This is now only a few weeks away, so now need to start considering the food order. Please let me know what you want. Also, I can confirm that the per head cost (based on 10 attendees) for the 12 bottles is £250.88 - so £250! To keep things simple on the night, we'll settle the food bill separately....

Re: 1994s, B&F, Tue 26 Mar 2024
Wouldn’t hurt to do a 2003 horizontal now that it has reached 21 years of age. Indeed, though I've only just taken my first 94 case from storage, so if others are in a similar position I suspect we might not have convenient access to many yet. Good point! Maybe we pencil something in for 2025 and g...

Re: 1994s, B&F, Tue 26 Mar 2024
Echo MPM's comments - plenty of primary fruit, but very little tannin and acidity, so unlikely to be candidates for long ageing. Some wines were quite pleasant but apart from the Vesuvio nothing really stood out.

Re: Latest buy
A just delivered auction purchase (£24.50 all in)... Bottle.JPG Label.JPG It's only a half, and level is just below the neck, but colour doesn't appear to be too bad. From checking the Mutuals Public Register it appears that the Wine Society were at Holles Street between August 1929 and October 1940...
