The usual theme of The Unknown Shipper and His Peculiar Friends will be adopted. The usual procedure of the prior year attendees having first refusal will a...

Re: Hotel or Restaurant Price List of the Week
We had a family lunch at the Rose & Crown on the Polygon next to Clapham Common. I was pleased and delighted to spot a bottle of Sandeman Fine White Port in the fridge behind the bar - so taught the barman how to make a Porttonic and ordered five of them. I was also quite impressed by the desser...

This bottle is currently the record holder in my cellar for the longest owned unopened bottle. It was purchased from Berry Brothers on 10th April 1996 for the sum of £46.00

I have just joined the dots and realised that the owners of Quinta de Brunheda are also the owners of the Blackett shipper brand and of Alchemy Wines.

Any chance of pictures of the Ports I’ve not heard of before, especially of any tiny print on front or back labels saying “bottled by…”? They would be Gueda Wines and the Ramos Pinto Lagrima RP Lagrima Das Damas: https://imgur.com/a/rSKc2vz Gueda White: https://imgur.com/a/MkB9omX Thank you. I need...

2018 Chanin Fortified Pinot Noir
From California. Gavin Chanin joined the Port Forum at a recent tasting and brought a blinded 50cl bottle with him. To date, this is the only fortified wine made at Chanin Wines. Local spirit is used to fortify the partially fermented wine to 19%. The cap is punched down during fermentation but the ...

As Phil says, the bottle looks to be genuine to me from the pictures you’ve posted. I’d follow his guidance to see if you can get a feel for the state of health of the contents and be and give thanks for your lucky find!

Re: Three-word places to drink Port
Perhaps Glenn would be interested to know that perfect.tawny.port can be found in the Atlantic Ocean about 500 miles south-west of Ilhas Cabo Verde. Or maybe Andy should know that the only place in the world where you can find massive Port stocks is not far from his house in LA — could this be his o...

That could be the find of a lifetime. You might have come across a bottle which was purchased for the hotel shop 20 years ago and which has not been repriced since then.

Earlier today I stumbled across cheers.port.people just off I96 in Kansas. There is also a fine.port.magnum to be found just off the coast of Kagawa, Japan or an ancient.port.magnum in Kentucky but the only mature.port.magnum is in Arctic Russia.

I have very carefully kept out of this discussion, but am now forced to join in by Rich’s last post.
My Taylor 2015 LBV (Tower of London Edition) is better tonight than it was last night. I will keep an eye out for both this and the 2005 Terra Feita.
