Re: Graham (or Malvedos) vertical, Tue 14 May 2024
The inevitable has happened and I cannot find my half case of 1985 Graham. 60,80,83 etc I can find but not 85. I am happy to fork out for anyone else’s bottle of 85 Graham, if they have one to hand that they can bring along. I can bring one with me but I would have to know in the next 2 hours. Afte...

Mine is correct as documented, but if possible may I join the Welsh Rarebit club and add one to my order?
I ordered it for Thursday night, but apparently forgot to order it for Tuesday night.

Re: 50 Year Old Tawnies (and potential friends) - 2023 (or later)
DR has both (50 White and 50 Tawny). Quinta de Prelada has a 50 Year Old White for sure... I still don't know about a Tawny. I tasted the white at LaDo. Vieira de Sousa has both. These are all Ports that I've tasted from "50 Year Old" bottles so I know that they exist. I also know that Qui...

Re: 50 Year Old Tawnies (and potential friends) - 2023 (or later)
I'm now aware of 12 bottlings (the first post has been edited to list them). If I've missed some, please let me know. Also, does anyone know if we are to expect releases from any of the other houses anytime soon? This one is not on your list. I have seen photographic evidence that Butler Nephew has...

Re: SFE launches Graham's 50 yo
I like those nifty wood boxes, but I feel like products that use them have had their prices pumped up artificially beyond the added cost of the box.
Plus when I buy a lot of some Port that's in those boxes, I end up with too many of them. Graham's The Stone Terraces.

Re: Taylor Single Harvest Tawny Tasting - 16 May 2024
For this Single Harvest Tawny Port tasting, I would like:
Potted Devon Crab
Davy's Kentish Bangers and Mash with Madeira gravy
side of Welsh Rarebit
Note that my orders for the 2 tastings during this week are different, if that is okay.

Re: Graham (or Malvedos) vertical, Tue 14 May 2024
For this vintage Port tasting, I would like: Potted Devon Crab Ribeye (med rare) with garlic butter side of chopped Davy's sausages with honey mustard glaze I suspect that since the chopped sausages are more expensive than other sides that there will be a surcharge for those, and that is fine. Note ...

Re: Thursday 11th April - Decanting Experiment plus some drinkers
Gould Cambell 1977 Magnum , 2:00pm decanted into a magnum decanter. This did take some time to open up, around hour an 1 hour and half to 2 hours, what a wonderful port, great balance, lovely smooth finish, I believe the first bottle finished. I think that because it was finished so early in the da...

Re: Taylor Single Harvest Tawny Tasting - 16 May 2024
To maintain a sensible bottles/head ratio I've decided that we'll just stick to the Taylor bottles and skip the whites. As such, the Quevedo is removed and Glenn doesn't need to bring the Ste. Eufemia Special Reserve. Noted, thank you. It shall go back to sleeping in my wine fridge. [Narrator: it d...

Further, if someone has a 1948 that they could be convinced to trade for a 1945, I could bring both of these 1945s and we could extend the tasting back to WW2.

Re: Graham (or Malvedos) vertical, Tue 14 May 2024
I’d rather do the GMs separately, not mixed in with the Graham vertical. Same. I think the list Martin has proposed is based on what has been offered to him. For example, no-one has offered a bottle of 1957 nor anything older than 1955. I have a 1945 that I would be happy to bring, but I feel that ...

Ha! I was doing some further research regarding things I might like to do while in London, and discovered 2 things that were not at all as I expected. 1. Seckford's is not in London. For some reason I associated "Dock Lane" with the docklands and thought it would be easy to pop by and take...

Re: 1957 Graham
Your bottle label appears to be: GRAHAM (in black) <vintage> (in red) VINTAGE PORT i.e. no room for the word Malvedos, and no bottling year statement. The only other label which matches that format would be the one in AHBs image at the top of the thread, so I suspect it could well be a bottle from ...

I hadn't noticed them before, but yes there are. Embossed into the glass is the number 374 and the letters 'RL'. Possibly 'RD" but I don't think so.

Re: 1957 Graham
I am unable to get my phone's camera to focus any better than this because the selo itself is so damaged that it looks blurry no matter what. I tried to get it to focus on the edge of the selo to no avail. There's no back side to the selo visible as it has been torn off at some point. 2024-04-02 10....
