1966 Sandeman
Purchased from Sworder with MSC.
In neck. No seepage. Excellent colour.
Decanted for 3hrs - needed probably double that.
Nose of fig and dates. Very long smell and taste. Tasted very similar, fig, dates, Christmas pudding.
Ready to drink but will hold for another decade. Worth seeking out.

Some cases/bottles for sale at Seckfords
Dear all, I am slightly overstocked with certain wines/vintages and have decided to offer the below for sale. All stored at Seckfords in varying states of IB/DP. Some need to be drunk, others will outlive me. Some were originally purchased direct from producer via offers coordinated by members of th...

1970 Fonseca
I had the sincere privilege of attending a dinner at All Souls College Oxford this weekend. The wines selected from the magically curated cellar included Leoville Barton 2005, Meursault les Chevaliers Bachey-Legros 2015, Vosne-Romanee Jean Grivot 2005, Rieussec 2007 and Fonseca 1970. Purchased en pr...

Re: Port for sale by retailer
Quite a lot of new additions on BBR. Not cheap but not expensive either. Croft 1960 and Noval 1960 for £165. They have had some fantastic stuff recently, and at less of a premium than I'd usually associate with them. As I was mulling over some BBR-bottled & never-left-BBR-cellars Taylor 66 bott...

Tasted of fog and dried berries/raisins. Excellent length. It kept on going for almost 1 minute. I have 2 bottles remaining and it co...

Re: Tue 23 July 2024: Sixties matrix, {W, G, S, F, T} × {1960, 1963, 1966}
An excellent idea and an excellent tasting. I found all wines to be showing rather well. I was high enamoured by the W66 and T63. It felt like the 1966's were beginning to open.
Thank you to the organiser.
