Re: Graham’s Single Harvest Tawny Tasting with Charles Symington and VWP
Firstly, Let me declare an interest as I organised the tasting. - all the GSH packs have now gone. Should be a fun ...

Re: Graham’s Single Harvest Tawny Tasting with Charles Symington and VWP
Would it be possible for me to arrange to purchase 2 packs and not worry about when they arrive? I'd be happy to sip on something else while listening in on the presentation, then taste the Ports later on my own time when they do arrive. It's rather difficult to find these Ports in the US so I'd lo...

There is consistent dump of passwords on the "dark web" Chrome has this feature since 2019 where they just scan open password files and if they find your u/p combination, they'll alert you via Chrome plugin saying that your password has been compromised. https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/10...

I know the wine director, Eric at Bern's,
We went last feb, on back to back days and it was pretty glorious.
He hooked me up with a btl of Domaine Leroy.

Thank you!
Is the theme to open something good, or something from a challenging year like the 75'? We might turn away JDAW if so

Re: Port cocktails
Hmmm...I’m not quite convinced that that will be strong enough to produce an effect of “having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick” as per the books. Could we bulk it out with some overproof vodka to get the ABV up from c. 30% to a good 70-75%? ;-) If the vo...

Re: Johnnie Walker whisky to be sold in paper bottles
I think easier recycling and reduced shipping weights are more likely target benefits. Can't say I have ever seen anyone walking around a nightclub with a bottle of whisky, but it's been a while since I was in a nightclub  I certainly think this is one big aspect of it. The costs of glass bot...

Please still be careful and practice appropriate cleanliness and social distancing. As noted state side, we have ballooned to 40k/day cases again. That being said, my local bar Trinity's and my favorite japanese restaurant nxt door Torigo's both are opened for outdoor seating and have relaxed the BY...

Re: Port cocktails
fair point. I've had the negroni at a few spots across Florence and there are certainly a wide variation across the city from very sweet, to very strong campari notes. I'd be curious on your take if you were instead of 1.5 parts of white port, instead do 1 part white port and 1/4 part possibly 1/2 p...

Curious what you guys consider a real negroni? Though, I've never had the Churchill's whiteport before, the quevedo is definitely darker.
