Looks like I will be able to get to this tasting after all , sadly though not till around 9pm. On the positive side if OK will provide a magnum, lucky it is a Thursday night.

Very much looking forward to it, the 1970 vintage is in my view the one you cannot have enough of!

This was my favourite of the first three ports, I normally think of this wine as a great example of Douro bake, the 89 and I believe the 90 were stored in the Douro before temperate control, this bottle really did not show Douro bake at all which was a big surprise.
