Great find. You can make it even better with a £15 off £60 if you're a new customer or happen to stumble upon a new email... https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/gb/groceries/get-ideas/voucher-codes I wish I’d known that when I picked up 8 bottles @ £12 yesterday (see latest buy).

Re: Latest buy
Sainsburys dropped their price on the Graham’s Crusted to £13 (actually £12 in the store that I visited) so I bought all they had (8) as I bought a few before Christmas and I gave away a few to friends (how sad am I? Still trying to convert them to the dark side!) and they all said it went down well...

Re: NV Edward Sheldon Ruby
I bought a bottle of their Ruby Port years ago and thought it was also very good value. Do they pay a little more for their blend than the supermarkets I wonder? I haven’t bought their own label champagne but I have had it at a Christmas bash a few years back (the year you came down to us) and the o...

Re: Port in movies, dramas and tv series
A couple of nights ago I caught the end of an episode of Heartbeat (Niamh Cusack!), didn't manage to grasp the storyline but someone seemed to be stealing Port and selling it on the cheap. The coppers caught them loading cases (Warres) on to a truck and in the execution of their duty they caused a w...

I see I am now a 'Martinez 1985'. By coincidence I have a case of it arriving tomorrow. Hurrah! Wait. Is that how it is supposed to work? Where is my case of Dalva Golden White 1952?!? No, it defines what you have to bring to share with others at the next informal. Ooh, this is good for me. Yup I t...

It is with great regret that I am no longer in a position to attend as that is Cheltenham week and I will be otherwise engaged (and since it is the same week every year you would have thought that I would have remembered that). Tighten those bootlaces and take to the field Harry!

Ah no I had a glass of Churchill's 10 y.o. all ready and I'm gradually getting my taste back.Alex Bridgeman wrote: ↑16:02 Mon 10 Jan 2022 With only 4 of us expressing an interest, 1 of whom is tentative and 1 of whom can only join after 8pm, I suggest we cancel this proposed Virtual Tasting.

Yes Neil, I’ve used it, thought the mechanism was a little stiff but drew the cork cleaner than my normal waiter’s friend. Will use the bag for shopping but not sure about the notebook and pencils; does anybody use pencils anymore?

You weren’t to know George but as a lawyer ignorance is no defence😊 Oh likewise “the money was just resting in my account” Happy N...
