26/12 - two bottles of 2003 Grand Puy Lacoste that evaporated, so must have been OK, plus finished off various leftovers.

1950 Offley
From same stash as two previous Forum notes. Acquired from Corney & Barrow a few years ago for sub £20 per bottle. Pink wax capsule and cork both clearly labelled Offley Boa Vista 1950 & Harvey's of Bristol. This bottle was leaking so was stood up a couple of years ago. Mid shoulder, opened ...

Re: Port for sale by retailer
User SteveO seems rather optimistic on values, and has listed his Krohn Colheitas as Vintage Ports. (It's entirely possible that the latter problem is a limitation of the site. The former, however...) There’s definitely a tendency for users to list too high on these type of platforms. I suspect the...

A new consumer-to-consumer wine selling platform - https://squelch.wine/
I've listed a few bottles, sold one, and purchased a couple. All seems to work quite well.
There's even some VP listed (not mine).

Nice things over the last few days:
Murrieta Castillo Ygay Grand Reserva Especial 2004 - lovely but cork was a disaster; exploded into a million pieces
Leoville Las Case 2003 - yum
Vougeraie Gevrey Chambertin “La Justice” 2008 - double yum
Now starting to consider what to have Xmas Day.

It's December. We're drinking. What's not to like? Once again it's time to share what we're imbibing now and planning to across the coming weeks of enforced jollity. Some of us kicked this off on Monday 1st with... Gusbourne, Brut Reserve, 2020 and then a 2021 (as we needed a 2nd glass, which wasn't...

As happened with the original organiser of the original tasting, my plans have been forced to change. Sadly, I can’t be at the tasting next week. Sorry all. Shame. Will update the food order at the weekend in case of further changes. Also, I’ll bring a second bottle now we don’t have three from Alex.
