Need to clarify…

Is your preference for these to just be double decanted OR to be decanted, left in decanter for X hours and then to go back into the original bottle?

If the latter what is the preference for the value of X?

I'm intending the open and decant the four bottles (Calem, Butler Nephew, OBV and Justin's Cockburn) I'm bringing early afternoon tomorrow. Will then get a couple of hours at most in decanter before rebottling.

A bottle picked up as part of a mixed lot, so cost only a few £s. Opened March 2026 and finished over a few days. Assume (based on back-label) this is a 2005 or 2015 bottling?
